L30B-SM1 30 mm Cage Plates

L30B black square cage plates have an SM1 female center thread, specified as 1.035 inches-40, four corner rod holes and side set screws for securing cage rods. Individual cards identify L30B-SM1 as 8 mm thick and L30B-SM1H as 12.5 mm thick. The 30 mm designation describes the cage format, not plate thickness or outside width.

Thickness and geometry

The two model photographs explicitly label thicknesses of 8 and 12.5 mm and show corner rod holes, central threading and side screws. No formal drawing provides outside dimensions, rod-hole diameter, hole-spacing tolerance or thickness tolerance; these are not inferred from photograph proportions. The thicker model shows paired side screws, but confirm the total supplied screw count.

SM1 center interface

The source specifies an SM1 female thread, 1.035 inches-40, for compatible threaded tubes and other hardware and states that two retaining rings are supplied. A separate main-image annotation claims compatibility with 0.5-inch optics, without a drawing or adapter-ring specification supporting that size. Confirm this claim. The thread diameter does not establish the optic mounting diameter, and the claim is not silently changed to 1-inch optics.

Rod holes and post mounting

Four corner through-holes and side set screws secure four cage rods; these holes are separate from the central optical thread. The source also labels an M4 threaded hole for post mounting, which must not be confused with a rod through-hole. Application photographs show rods and a threaded tube, but rods, tubes, posts, platforms and optics are not automatically supplied. Check rod-hole fit and M4 mounting hardware separately.

Selection and supply

Choose the complete model, thickness, SM1 mating hardware, optic diameter and retaining clearance. Material grade, finish, loading and accuracy are not provided; a black appearance does not establish anodized aluminum. Custom sizes are advertised subject to confirmation of dimensions, price and lead time. Verify retaining-ring type, fit and supply arrangement for each plate.
