L30J Ø6 mm Cage Assembly Rods for 30 mm Systems

L30J rods are intended for 30 mm cage systems and have a 6 mm body diameter. The source specifies 303 stainless steel with a smooth surface. The engineering table agrees with all 22 individual model cards, covering body lengths from 6.4 to 609.6 mm in single-rod and four-rod pack options. The 30 mm designation describes the cage system, not rod diameter or length.

Length and pack size

The engineering drawing measures L between the ends of the cylindrical body, excluding projecting screws. Available lengths are 6.4, 12.7, 25.4, 38.1, 50.8, 76.2, 101.6, 152.4, 203.2, 254, 304.8, 457.2 and 609.6 mm. The first nine lengths have single-rod and four-rod options; the final four are listed as single rods here. Pack sizes are confirmed by table notes and individual photographs rather than treated as a universal model-code rule.

End connections

The source identifies a 4-40 threaded hole at each end and removable 4-40 screws; the assembly drawing also calls out 4-40 screws at both ends. Preserve the 4-40 specification rather than substituting M4. Promotional copy states two screws are supplied, but the total screw quantity for a four-rod pack needs confirmation. Screw length, thread depth and tightening torque are not provided.

Cage-system fit

Select the body length, fit to 6 mm rod holes, compatible 30 mm cage hardware and end threads. These rods connect and support compatible cage components; the evidence does not establish compatibility with every brand. Assembly length and optical-axis position depend on the mounting plates and connectors, so body length L is not the complete system length. Cage plates, lenses and other optical components are not automatically included.

Material and specification limits

The source specifies 303 stainless steel but provides no diameter tolerance, straightness, surface roughness, load rating or temperature range. A smooth appearance does not establish an accuracy grade. Confirm the complete model, rods per pack, number of packs and supplied screws. The series illustration is not a dimensional reference.
