ZGA-12 Ø12 mm Miniature Optical Posts

ZGA-12 miniature stainless steel posts combine a 12 mm cylindrical body, wider base flange and relieved neck with a tool hole for compact optical mounting. Seven individual photographs and the engineering table identify total lengths L of 15, 20, 25, 38, 50, 75 and 100 mm. L includes the base flange and is not the cylindrical body length alone.

Engineering dimensions

The drawing labels a 12 mm body diameter, 14.2 mm flange diameter and 2.5 mm transverse neck hole. The body begins 6.35 mm above the bottom face; the tool-hole center is 3.15 mm above that face. These are fixed geometry dimensions, not adjustment travel. L runs from the bottom face to the upper end and excludes any added stud.

Threads and illustration discrepancy

The engineering section identifies an M4 upper hole in the body and an M6 lower hole through the flange. Some promotional text arrows point to locations inconsistent with that drawing. The description follows the section view and retains the discrepancy for confirmation. The source offers one removable M4 screw and one M6 screw. Confirm pitch, hole depth and the actual packing list.

Mounting and fit

The base flange supports a fork-clamp mounting arrangement; the promotional example shows a black fork clamp that is not included automatically. Check the 12 mm body fit, 14.2 mm flange clearance, fork opening and mounting height. The tool hole provides handling access; allowable torque, clamping force and load capacity are not supplied.

Material and limits

The source advertises precision-ground stainless steel without material grade, roughness, tolerances, straightness or stability reports. A compact post shape does not establish rated precision.
