ZGZ Sliding Post Collars

ZGZ-C collars provide a movable securing or support interface on an optical post. The four individual cards identify posts of 12, 12.7, 25 and 25.4 mm diameter. The small thumbscrew collars and larger mounting collars use different locking and connection features. Not every series feature applies to every model.

Matching the post diameter

ZGZ-0.5C is labeled for 12.7 mm posts, ZGZ-12C for 12 mm, ZGZ-1.0C for 25.4 mm and ZGZ-25C for 25 mm. These are explicitly stated compatible post diameters, not measured bores or fit tolerances. Match metric and inch posts separately and confirm sliding clearance.

Small thumbscrew collars

The source identifies an M6 thumbscrew for securing the 12/12.7 mm collar and an M3 vertical adjustment screw. An installation example describes maintaining height while rotating a post on a matching holder and mentions approximately 6.4 mm of vertical fine adjustment. That value describes the source assembly; it is not a guaranteed travel specification for all four models.

Larger mounting collars

The larger collar photograph identifies an M4 tapped mounting hole, an M4 recessed mounting hole and a side set screw for attaching optical components or securing the collar. Keep tapped and recessed clearance holes distinct. Confirm screw-head style, hole spacing and mounting orientation. Do not assume the larger collars share the small collar’s vertical adjustment mechanism.

Supply and specification limits

Photographs show a black surface but do not specify material grade, finish, outside diameter, height or fit tolerance. Provide the complete model, post diameter, application and quantity. Posts, holders and optical components are shown as installation context and are not included automatically. Allowable torque, loading and repeatability require confirmation.
