L16J-M stainless steel metric assembly rods have a 4 mm diameter and M3 threaded holes at both ends for compatible 16 mm cage systems. All 16 individual model photographs agree with the engineering table, covering body lengths of 6–200 mm with four-rod packs at selected lengths. M6 within the complete model L16J-M6 does not specify an M6 connection: this rod uses M3 threads. Its 6 mm length is not substituted with 6.4 mm from the imperial series.
Length and pack size
The engineering drawing measures L between the ends of the cylindrical body, excluding projecting screws. Lengths of 6, 12.5, 25, 38, 50, 75 and 100 mm have single-rod and four-rod options. This source lists 150 and 200 mm as single rods only. Each length and pack size is confirmed by the individual card and table; metric lengths are not replaced with inch equivalents.
End threads
The main image specifies an M3 threaded hole at each end, and the drawing calls out M3 screws in two places for 16 mm cage assembly. Photographs show removable end screws and loose screws, but the text does not establish a supplied quantity per rod or pack. Screw length, thread depth, pitch and tightening torque are unspecified. Do not substitute 4-40 or M6 screws.
System fit
The application photograph shows rods joining two cage plates for compatible 16 mm cage assembly. Cage plates and optical components are not automatically supplied. Check 4 mm rod-hole fit, body length L, M3 threads and cage-plate interfaces. Complete assembly length and optical-axis position depend on the mounting hardware; verify brand compatibility.
Material and custom orders
The source identifies stainless steel but provides no grade, diameter tolerance, straightness, surface roughness, load rating or environmental range. The 303 grade from other series is not assumed here. Custom sizes are advertised subject to confirmation of dimensions, price, lead time and accessory supply. Distinguish rods per pack, pack quantity and supplied screws. The series illustration is not a dimensional reference.
